Job Role: Project Co-ordinator
Hours: 20-24 hrs per week
Contract: May 2024 - May 2025 (12 months with a 3-month probation)
Location: Office-based, moving to hybrid
Salary: £29,250 Pro Rata 3 Days /week

THE ROLE
Come Play With Me is looking for an enthusiastic and driven project co-ordinator to build upon the foundations of Karen Emanuel’s ‘Moving the Needle’ project. Due to be rebranded and relaunched, the project aims to support women and gender-minority individuals throughout their careers and raise awareness of the diverse opportunities available in the music sector, emphasising that one doesn’t have to be a performer to have a career in the music industry.
Powered by Karen Emanuel and delivered by Come Play With Me CIC, the successful applicant will play a key role in developing a strong, supportive, and impactful space for senior female and gender minority industry professionals to connect, mentor, and advocate for long-term, meaningful change.
The successful applicant will be responsible for bringing Karen's vision to life. From the initial construction and onboarding of subscribers to a Mighty Networks platform, through to co-ordinating networking events and engaging with communities to build sustainability for the subscriber model network. There will be regular communications with both Karen and the Come Play With Me managerial staff to support the trajectory of the project.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and manage the Mighty Networks platform, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for subscribers
- Actively engage with members to build a strong and sustainable community
- Develop strategies to attract and retain subscribers
- Plan, organise, and deliver networking events that connect industry professionals
- Facilitate mentoring opportunities and discussions within the network
- Maintain regular communication with Karen Emanuel and CPWM’s management team to align project goals
- Engage with key industry figures and organisations to expand the project’s reach
- Manage email updates, newsletters, and social media content to keep members informed and engaged
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the project, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
- Track subscriber engagement and feedback, making improvements as needed
- Provide regular reports on progress, challenges, and opportunities
- Work towards ensuring long-term sustainability for the subscriber-based network
- Identify and implement strategies to grow the platform and increase membership
- Collaborate with CPWM to explore funding, sponsorship, and partnership opportunities
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in Google Workspace
- Experience in organising and managing personal workload effectively
- Knowledge of digital community platforms, social media, and the role of networking
- Experience in project management, budget management, and meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both digital and interpersonal
- A proactive team player with the ability to collaborate across organisations
- A clear passion for gender equality in the creative industries
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- The role will be more suited to someone who identifies as female or non-binary. This will allow the candidate to bring their lived experience of the barriers our target audience may be facing
- Experience working across various areas of the music and/or creative industries
- Strong background in event management and marketing
- A keen eye for web design, aesthetics, and content creation
