University of Wolverhampton at The Halls, AEG Presents newest venue, is seeking an Assistant Box Office Manager.
You will be instrumental to the effective running of our core business, be passionate about the entertainment industry and provide world class ticketing and customer service for events taking place at The Halls.
You will be assisting the Box Office Manager with the running of venue ticketing provisions from event confirmation through to the event night.
This includes:
- Assisting with the day-to-day ticketing functions ensuring high-performing ticketing and customer service
- Working closely with our primary ticketing partner AXS to fully utilise their ticketing system, and becoming an expert user, ensuring awareness of system capability and functionality to deliver ticketing excellence
- Liaising with promoter teams on all aspects of their event ticketing
- Working shows and weekends when required
- Providing high level customer services both in advance of and on show night, handling accessibility queries, bookings and general enquiries. Acting as first point of contact for all compliments and complaints for the venues, looking for trends and recommending improvements where possible
- Keeping up to date on accessibility requirements, such as The Attitude Is Everything charter
- Assisting with the management of casual staff working on show nights
- Manifest creation including scaling and maximising show gross potential
- Setting up and managing show allocations and holds on AXS back-end system
- Sending show confirmations and allocations, assisting with managing presales and on sales, ensure accurate and timely sales counts are sent to all stakeholders and monitoring ticket allocations to maximise sales through AXS
We are looking for someone who
- Has experience in a box office environment within the live entertainment industry
- Has expert knowledge of managing ticketing within venues, with the ability to grasp new information quickly
- Thrives on working in a busy changing environment with a confident, personable approach
- Has strong numerical skills and is proficient in delivering accurate reports
- Has the ability to maximise revenue across all areas of venue ticketing wherever possible
- Has strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Is committed and flexible in your approach to work and able to work evenings and weekends
You'll be a team player, happy to get stuck in when your colleagues need you. You'll have some previous experience of supervising teams on an event night and know the importance of promoting the highest level of customer service.
You'll want to raise the bar in this role and be solutions focussed. We encourage new ideas and innovation. Interviews will be held on Friday 3 May at the venue.
Where: You'll be based at the venue University of Wolverhampton at The Halls. This role will include working evenings and weekends.
