Joss Stone signs up to Princes' soldier benefit concert

Joss Stone has agreed to perform at the City Salute gala, a benefit concert for injured Iraq soldiers organised by Princes William and Harry, with funds going to the City Salute Appeal.

Joss Stone has agreed to perform at a benefit concert in aid of soldiers injured in Iraq, currently being organised by Princes William and Harry. The City Salute gala will take place later this year and funds will go to the City Salute Appeal.

Speaking about her involvement in the event, Stone said: "I think the way the government treats our soldiers is really fucked up. They can go to war, but if they get their leg blown off they come back and are delaying with the NHS. They should have a right to private treatment paid for by the government. I'm doing [this concert] because I support the cause and because [William and Harry] are good friends".
