Kaiser Chiefs headline NME tour

Kaiser Chiefs will headline NME's O2 Rock N Roll Riot Tour this autumn, supported by The Cribs and Maximo Park, with dates running from 15 to 29 October.

I have a feeling that one day soon every single music event in the world will be prefixed with the word 'O2', so keen is the mobile network to prove its commitment to music. Of course, if they really wanted to demonstrate their commitment to music they really ought to consider sponsoring a well received popular music news service - the O2 CMU Daily, now that has a nice cash rich sound to it.

Anyway, the latest music thing to be given the O2 prefix is NME's Rock N Roll Riot Tour which will be headlined this Autumn by Kaiser Chiefs with support from Maximo Park and The Cribs. Commenting on the tour Chief's frontman Ricky Wilson told NME: "I'm looking forward to it, it's going to be brilliant. We wanted The Cribs because they write fantastic songs and Maximo Park are writing great songs too. We're all leaders of the pack really, so it's a really strong bill."

Dates for the tour run thus:

15 Oct: Manchester Apollo

18 Oct: Leeds Town Hall

22 Oct: Birmingham Academy

25 Oct: Brixton Academy

29 Oct: Glasgow Academy
