Egotistical rap artist Kanye West has asked Swedish folk-pop trio Peter Bjorn and John to be his backing band when he plays the Way Out West Festival in Sweden on 11 Aug. The 'Jesus Walks' superstar, not content with ruining Daft Punk in his latest foray into other genres, has declared himself a huge fan of the band, even rhyming over one of their songs. There's been no official statement as to whether they've accepted yet but with West's huge profile it seems unlikely that they would turn down the opportunity at this stage in their career. And maybe then they could contribute some harmonised whistling to 'Gold digger'?
