Kara Noble returns to radio for one day

Former Heart presenter Kara Noble will co-present Tony Blackburn's breakfast show on Classic Gold for one day, with the station suggesting a more regular role could follow.

Former Capital and Heart 106.2 presenter Kara Noble is to return to UK radio, albeit for one day, for the first time since she was fired from the Heart breakfast show after it was revealed she had sold topless pictures of Sophie Rhys-Jones to The Sun. The tabloid published the pictures the day before Ms Rhys-Jones' married Prince Edward.

Noble will co-present Tony Blackburn's breakfast show on the Classic Gold radio station, filling in for Blackburn's usual co-presenter Laura Pittson. The fill-in shift may be the prequel to a more regular role at the station. Classic Gold head of programming Bill Overton told reporters: "It seems to me that her absence from radio for the last six years has been a terrible waste. Kara is the perfect co-host. We understand there may be a bit of history there in some people's eyes, but what happened [with Sophie Rhys-Jones] is irrelevant to most people turning on the radio in 2005."
