Kate Nash criticises comparisons with Lily Allen

Kate Nash says comparisons to Lily Allen are lazy and sexist, while adding that Allen has been very supportive, in a webchat with Gigwise.

Kate Nash has been talking about how annoying it is to be compared to Lily Allen - not because she doesn't like Lily Allen, who has apparently been "very supportive" towards her - but because those comparisons are a bit sexist and lazy.

Speaking in a webchat with Gigwise, she said: "I think its lazy journalism and also quite sexist that there's not enough room for more than one female singer songwriter from London. When my album is released though people will have more to go by and I can hopefully be recognised more as an artist within my own right".

So, think on, all you lazy, sexist journalists out there.
