Kerry Katona facing bankruptcy

A high court registrar has given Kerry Katona six weeks to pay a £157,000 tax bill, with her representative saying she expects to earn enough by August, while HM Revenue & Customs pushes for bankruptcy.

A high court bankruptcy registrar has given Kerry Katona just six weeks to pay off a £157,00 tax bill. The former Atomic Kitten's representative Luke Harris explained in court that she wasn't able to pay straight away because of "changed circumstances", but says she'll have earned £472,000 before the end of August. God, wish I were going to earn that much by the end of August. I expect all I'll be by then is sad and tired.

Harris added: "She's also strenuously seeking to remortgage her properties. But if the money comes in there is no need. I would ask for one final indulgence by the court". I think this will probably be her last chance, as HM Revenue & Customs are pressing hard for a bankruptcy order. Doh.
