Lesbian duo might cause controversy with video

Russian duo Tatu, the biggest-selling group in eastern Europe, are set to release a first UK video showing them kissing while dressed as schoolgirls.

A lesbian pop duo from Russia might cause controversy when they release their first video over here. Lena Katina and Julia Volkova, performing as Tatu (which apparently translates as This Girl Loves That Girl) are currently the biggest-selling group in eastern Europe. In the video to their single ‘All The Things She Said’ the teenagers (they’re 17 and 18 respectively) kiss and cuddle while dressed as schoolgirls. The girls are keen to break into the UK market – it remains to be seen how they are met by the tabloids who could, after all, lead a campaign against them or decide to champion them depending on which way the wind's blowing.
