Linkin Park cancel China dates

Linkin Park have cancelled their China tour, and a Taipei show, because lead singer Chester Bennington has a back injury, though the planned charity donations will still be made.

Linkin Park have announced that they're cancelling their upcoming tour of China because of an unspecified back injury suffered by lead singer Chester Bennington. A statement on the band's official website confirmed that shows scheduled to take place in Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan and Macau would now not take place. A show set to take place in Taiwan's capital Taipei has also been cancelled.

The concerts planned were intended to raise funds for victims of the earthquake that hit China's Sichuan province back in May, and Linkin Park say they and the promoter will still make a donation, which will be matched by the World Bank.
