Littl'ans make statement about drug shambles

Support band Littl'ans have issued a statement describing a police raid on their tour bus after a Shrewsbury gig, which led to strip searches before they were released without charge.

Littl'ans, the band supporting Babyshambles on their current UK tour, have released a statement about what happened after they were caught up in police investigations which led to the arrest of, amongst others, Pete Doherty.

The statement said: "At 1:30am after leaving their gig in Shrewsbury Littl'ans bus was raided in an SAS style bust by West Mercia police. The bus was stopped in the middle of the road just outside the town centre by 10 police officers in combat clothing and truncheons drawn. Eight police cars surrounded the bus as the officers boarded and cuffed all members. The band were taken to Shrewsbury police station where they were strip searched. Also at the station were members of Babyshambles. Three hours later and after blushes from police officers the band were allowed on their way without charge."
