Master P supports Obama

Master P has backed Barack Obama's White House bid, joining Halle Berry and Oprah Winfrey, and has launched Take A Stand Records for profanity-free rap.

Hip hopper Master P has announced he is joining Halle Berry and Oprah Winfrey in supporting US White House hopeful Barack Obama. He's told AllHipHop.com: "We always think we're outnumbered, and our vote doesn't matter, but truthfully that's not the case. If we get out there and support the people we believe in, we can make a difference now".

Elsewhere in sort of politics, P, who is one of the richest men in hip hop with an estimated fortune of $361 million, recently announced that he was starting a new record label, Take A Stand Records, that will only release profanity free rap music. In addition, he is writing a self-help book that claims will challenge: "The studios, TV, internet sites, and radio stations, to promote our positive leaders and stop glorifying the negative".
