McCartney holds off major tour due to divorce

Paul McCartney says he will not do a major tour for his album Memory Almost Full until possibly next year, citing personal circumstances, while Hear Music plans a global listening event in Starbucks outlets.

Paul McCartney says he's not going on a proper tour for the release of his upcoming album, 'Memory Almost Full', for personal reasons, which presumably means he wants to wait until his divorce from Heather Mills is finalised. Which will give McCartney fans another reason to hate her, if they didn't enough already. The singer told The Sunday Mirror: "I'm going to do bits and pieces to support the album, but it won't be a major tour until possibly next year, and that's down to personal circumstances".

The long player is out 4 Jun, released, as previously reported, by new Starbucks label Hear Music. To mark the release, the label are planning what's described as a 'global listening event' - which means 10,000 Starbucks outlets around the world playing the album all day. Yikes. I'm sure it won't be a rubbish album, or anything, but all day? It'll send the poor baristas crazy.
