McFly hits album upcoming

McFly will release a greatest hits album on 5 November, preceded by the single 'The Heart Never Lies' on 22 October, with songwriter Tom Fletcher having written ten UK number ones.

Was there ever a time when bands didn't release a 'greatest hits' as their fourth album? I have it in my mind you used to have to be around for at least a decade before the 'best of' album appeared on the agenda. But perhaps I'm remembering that wrong.

Anyways, I'm quite excited about this hits album because, despite us being McFly champions since day numero uno, I was never sent the first album, so bring on the McFly greatest hits package, complete, I assume, with all those early hits. That album will be released on 5 Nov, preceded by the compulsory 'not actually a hit yet but we'll put it on the greatest hits album anyway' new single, 'The Heart Never Lies' which will come out on 22 Oct. So, don't go telling us we didn't tell you.

By the way, did you know that McFly's Tom Fletcher has now written ten UK number one singles, having written three chart toppers for Busted and seven for McFly, which means he's written more chart toppers than U2, Queen and Robbie Williams, despite only being 22. Yeah, we hate him too. No, not really, we just can't stop loving McFly.
