McLaren compares Doherty to other people

Malcolm McLaren has compared Pete Doherty to Sid Vicious, Morrissey, William Blake and Thomas De Quincy, while acknowledging his drug problems.

Malcolm McLaren says Pete Doherty is like Sid Vicious, Morrissey, William Blake and Thomas De Quincy. Well, I can sort of see the De Quincy comparison, I suppose.

Not one to encourage anyone in their destructive patterns of behaviour, McLaren enthused: "Pete is fabulous. He's like a combination of Sid Vicious and Morrissey. He's William Blake, he's Thomas De Quincy, even if he only in part knows it. I can understand why Kate would fall for him. He needs people around him with sufficient intellect that can enthuse him and help him climb over the rocks that stand in his way due to his personality disorder and problems with drugs. Not sure Kate is the one to do that."

Sufficient intellect, huh? Well, he can have a piece of my mind any time he likes.
