Media giants pilot YouTube competitor

NBC Universal and Fox are piloting Hulu.com, an advertiser-funded on-demand TV service offering their programmes and enabling users to embed streams in blogs.

More legit online content services, and NBC Universal and Fox have begun piloting their YouTube competitor, Hulu.com, which will provide online on demand access to a range of TV programmes owned by the two media giants and other partners. The aim is to compete with YouTube, which has been offering similar content, often illegitimately, for a while now. The service will be advertiser funded, and will enable users to post streaming content into their own blogs. It's actually quite exciting, assuming access to content isn't restricted like on other legit online on demand content services.
