Metallica album release brought forward

Warner label Elektra has brought forward the US release of Metallica's St. Anger to 6 June, citing anticipation and poor-quality MP3s circulating.

Due to what the label call an "unprecedented level of anticipation and the prevalence of substandard versions," (that is to say, an awful lot of MP3s doing the rounds) Warners label Elektra has moved up the US release of Metallica's new 'St. Anger' album to this Thursday (6 Jun) from its scheduled street date of next Tuesday (10 Jun).
