Mika withdraws Boyzone song

Mika has reportedly refused Boyzone permission to perform or record a song he wrote, derailing a track planned for their reunion.

The Sun has reported that Mika has thrown a spanner in the works for the previously reported Boyzone reunion which is due to take place as part of this month's Children In Need. Word is Mika wrote a song called 'I Gave It All Away' which he didn't plan to record himself and which was put out to pop types to licence. Boyzone heard it, liked it, and recorded a version, and planned to use it as part of their reunion thing. But now Mika has decided that Boyzone are just too cheesy and has refused them permission to publicly record or perform the track. To be fair to Mika, someone should have warned the songwriters of the world that the dreariest of boybands were back on the market, so they could start sticking "not for Boyzone, OK?" disclaimers on their work. Anyway, her's what a source told the tab: "Boyzone loved it [the song]. They thought it was perfect to launch their comeback so they recorded it and it sounded great - a certain No 1. Just like the track, Mika gave it all away. But then he took it back again".
