Country singer Mindy McCready has been arrested at Nashville Airport due to claims that she has violated her probation, having been charged with battery and resisting arrest in Florida at the weekend. McCready, as previously reported, was on probation for fraudulently obtaining prescription painkillers back in 2004.
McCready's life has been in the news a lot since the 2004 case. The 31 year old faced DUI charges in 2005, of course, and you'll remember that during a subsequent court appearance relating to a collapse in a hotel lobby, she admitted to attempting suicide after finding out she was pregnant. Meanwhile, the singer's career continues on a downwards trajectory - she has released no new material since 2002, when poor sales of an eponymous LP led to the termination of her contract with EMI's Capitol Records.
