Minnelli takes on VH1

Liza Minnelli is preparing for a legal fight against VH1 after they axed her reality TV show before it even hit the air. Minnelli and husband David Gest have hired lawyer Michael Sherman "to seek appropriate remedies and take appropriate action" against the network. When the show was cancelled VH1 simply said they weren’t "given the cooperation" they needed to make the show happen – indications were that the problems had been with Gest rather that Minelli. About 60 hours of footage had been shot before the axe was swung and Sherman reckons the public “would have enjoyed seeing it. This case is not necessarily about money,” he continued, “it's about fairness."
