Mobile ticketing service announces latest gigs

Nokia's mobile ticketing service TicketRush will sell mobile tickets for London gigs by Bullet For My Valentine, CSS, Dragonforce and Cradle Of Filth at three venues.

I'm not sure this really counts as news but, what the hell, it's a quiet week industry news wise, so let's run with it. Nokia's mobile ticketing service TicketRush has announced it will be selling tickets for upcoming London gigs from Bullet For My Valentine, CSS, Dragonforce and Cradle Of Filth. There, ground breaking stuff. The gigs will take place at the London Apollo, Forum and the Astoria.

This is news, or at least so the press release says, because: "This is the first time that ticketrush.co.uk will release mobile tickets for multiple gigs across three venues. With these top London live music venues now embracing ticketrush.co.uk technology, this is another huge step forward in the development of mobile ticketing".

As previously reported, Ticketrush is one of the companies providing mobile ticketing solutions to the live sector, where fans get tickets sent to their mobile phones which are then scanned at the venue. Consumers who sign up to the service also have advance access to tickets for certain gigs, as well as receiving text alerts of last minute ticket availability for their favourite artists.
