Moby and Public Enemy collaborate on anti-war track

Moby and Public Enemy have recorded 'MKLVFKWR' for the official Olympics album Unity, a track billed as a reaction against the war in Iraq, with the single out on Mute on 26 July.

Moby and Public Enemy have used their track on the official album of the forthcoming Olympics to speak out against their home country's actions in the Middle East. As previously reported, the Olympics album, called Unity, brings together artists from different genres and cultures. Moby and Public Enemy have collaborated on a track called 'MKLVFKWR' which has been billed as "a reaction against the recent war in Iraq".

Talking about the track Moby told reporters this weekend: "We do still ostensibly live in a democracy, so my hope is that at some point the people will vocally rise up and let the current leaders know that they've had enough."

Public Enemy's Chuck D added: "The song is a request that being a citizen of the world should transcend nationality in the name of peace".

The track will be released by Mute on 26 Jul - the Unity album is out on EMI on 12 Jul.
