More from Preston on the charity show

Preston's management deny The Ordinary Boys demanded a fee for a charity gig, saying he was unwell and that legal action is being taken over the allegations.

The management of Preston of the Ordinary Boys have issued a more detailed statement regarding those previously reported allegations that the band pulled out of a charity event after their demands for a fee were turned down. As previously reported, the Ordinary Boys' people have denied that the band ever asked for a fee to play at the benefit gig, explaining that they pulled out of the show because Preston was taken ill.

The latest statement from Preston's people reads thus: "Allegations that were made concerning Preston and The Ordinary Boys pulling out of a live event last Thursday because the charity hosting the event refused to pay them an appearance fee are completely untrue. Preston was unwell on the day of the show and their appearance was cancelled because of this. Preston, the band and their management are currently taking legal action regarding the allegations."
