More good news for Chrysalis Radio

Chrysalis Radio reports advertising revenues up 18.6% over the last five months, credited to Heart and Galaxy stations and the relaunched LBC.

More good news from Chrysalis Radio who bucked the advertising slump last year to announce a rise in advertising revenues. Well, they’ve done it again, advertising profits for the last five months up 18.6% on the same period last year.

"This strong revenue performance of Chrysalis Radio is particularly pleasing in the light of the difficult trading environment our industry continues to face," chairman Chris Wright boasts. "Our outperformance under these conditions demonstrates not only the ability of the group to continue delivering market share gains, but also our ability to convert this audience growth into revenue growth."

Most of that success comes from the Heart and Galaxy stations, but Wright added that the group’s latest acquisition – the revamped LBC – is already paying off. "We have attracted a strong line up of presenters and feedback in the first four weeks since relaunch has been very positive."
