More Jackson stuff

Michael Jackson has lodged complaints with TV watchdogs over Martin Bashir's ITV documentary, while lawyer Gloria Allred calls for questioning of children at Neverland.

Even more on Jackson, oh yes. Firstly the American lawyer who represented the family of Jordy Chandler when they accused Jackson of molesting their son in the early nineties, is now calling on the US Child Welfare Services to question the children who have recently stayed over at Michael's Neverland ranch. Gloria Allred told reporters she was "deeply disturbed" about Jackson’s comments regarding the boys who sleep over in his bedroom. US Department of Social Services yesterday said they would watch the show (screened in the US last night) to decide whether action should be taken. We await their decision.

Meanwhile Jackson himself has made an official complaint to TV watchdogs over Bashir's documentary. His lawyers yesterday sent complaints to both the Independent Television Commission and the Broadcasting Standards Commission claiming he had been "unfairly treated" by ITV team who made the show, and that the programme had infringed his privacy.

The complaint to the ITC claimed the documentary "contained the clear innuendo that Mr Jackson is guilty of inappropriate behaviour with children" and that voiceovers and editing were used to give credence to those 1993 sex offence allegations. The complaint to the BSC added that he was "not given any prior warning" of Martin Bashir's intention to interview him about those allegations, or "of their intention to link that allegation with his friendship with Gavin Arvezo."
