Mortiis is top of the trolls

Norwegian metal artist Mortiis is just outside the UK Top 40 with his single 'The Grudge' and could enter with a few more sales this weekend.

Norway's leading exponent of death metal, Mortiis, might just have a chart hit this weekend. The cult singer, who wears a prosthetic nose to make him look more troll-like (we know this because his record label sent us a poster for the office - thanks Earache!), is sitting just outside the UK Top 40 with his new single 'The Grudge', and a few more sales this weekend could push the cave-dwelling Nordic star into the main chart.

That said, he's not too likely to rival Goldie Lookin' Chain and Natasha Beddingfield, both of whom are aiming for the higher end of the chart this week (go GLC, go).
