Is it for good this time? Who knows? Do you care? On the off chance that some of you do, this is what the tabloids are saying. Kate Moss is said to have dumped Pete Doherty before setting off on holiday to Dubai with her four year old daughter, apparently telling him that she now just wants to be friends.
A 'source' told the News of the World: "Kate told Pete that there's no chance of marriage or kids. She laid her cards on the table and Pete flipped. He doesn't want it to end - he's so in love with Kate."
His mum is also distressed by the news: "Pete phoned his mum in tears. He was inconsolable as he cried down the phone - he really thought they would get married soon. So Jackie called Kate and begged her to stand by Pete in his battle with drugs. She warned Kate that if she left him now, Pete could end up dead." To be fair, Kate might be worried that she'll end up dead if she stays with him.
Elsewhere in Doherty news, the Mirror report that the police have recently rejected Pete's application for a shotgun licence. Yes, he apparently applied for one in the Cotswolds, where Kate has her country home. Hardly surprisingly, local authorities cited his numerous drugs convictions as reason not to let him have one. Presumably this all happened before Kate dumped him.
