Presumably inspired by the, erm, inspired Verve Remixed series (that's remixes of songs released by the jazz and blues record label called Verve, and not rerubs of Richard Ashcroft songs), Motown, now part of Universal of course, have announced they will release an album which will feature top remixers reworking old classics. The Jackson 5's 'I Want You Back' will be rerubbed by Z-Trip, while Salaam Remi will get to play with 'ABC'. DJ Smash will remix Stevie Wonder's 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered' while the Randy Watson Experience takes on Gladys Knight's 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine'. All sounds very fine, release date info when we get it.
