Talking of appointments at MTV, they have confirmed that Sao Bui-Van has been appointed VP Corporate Communications for MTV UK & Ireland. Bui-Van's role will not only include the corp comms for the MTV network, but also for sister TV stations Paramount Comedy and Nickelodeon.
Confirming the appointment, Michiel Bakker, MTV UK MD, told reporters: "It is great to have Sao re-join the family. Like all broadcasters, we are facing a changing media landscape and MTV Networks with its young, savvy audiences is naturally at the forefront of new developments. I look forward to working with Sao on communicating all the great stuff we do, as well as drawing on his past experience to deal with the inevitable challenges that arise."
