My Bloody Valentine considering reunion

My Bloody Valentine are considering an offer to co-headline Coachella next year, their first activity since 1995, with main man Kevin Shields recently saying a new record will come.

With reunions still in fashion My Bloody Valentine are considering offers to reunite. The band has been offered a co-headlining set at the reunion fest that is Coachella next year, and that is apparently proving to be tempting. The legendary 'shoegaze' act, led by sometime producer Kevin Shields, have been inactive since 1995, and despite some infrequent and mostly unfounded rumours predicting their return previously, nothing has ever materialised.

The band is perhaps most widely known for their hugely influential but commercially disastrous 1991 album 'Loveless', a record that famously nearly bankrupted Alan McGee's Creation Records. Since MBV's hiatus/split, main man Shields has been producing, remixing and compiling music for films such as 'Lost In Translation', while earlier this year he gave an indication of his future plans when he said: "We are 100% going to make another My Bloody Valentine record unless we die or something".
