MySpace of the day: Rhythms Del Mundo

The Rhythms Del Mundo album, reinterpreting songs with members of the Buena Vista Social Club, is out today, with streams on its MySpace page.

We've mentioned this before, but the album is out today, and I've only just stumbled across its MySpace, so let's mention it now. This is the brilliant new album which sees a stack of artists and bands, including U2, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys, Sting, Franz Ferdinand and Maroon 5, reinterpreting one of their songs courtesy of the members of the legendary Buena Vista Social Club, meaning everything has a wonderful Latin edge. Released in aid of Artists Project Earth, this is a great album for all sorts of reasons - musical and otherwise. For the musical reasons, check out the MySpace where you'll find the Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys, Jack Johnson and Sting tracks streaming. There's also the TV ad, a making of video and loads of information about the project. All in all, a definite go see.
