New Brighton label

Brighton-based producer Cut La Roc has launched Rocstar Recordings with Marco Distefano, starting with his 'Many Styles Vol 1' EP due on 14 July.

Brighton-based DJ/producer, Cut La Roc (Lee Potter) has set up a new record label called Rocstar Recordings with fellow producer Marco Distefano.

Potter said: "the label will be a very broad based label - releasing electronica, hip hop, downtempo, breakbeat and house as well as mainstream stuff."

Christening the label will be, the 'Many Styles Vol 1' EP from Potter himself, a triple tracker due on 14 Jul. The EP is already getting support from Orbital's Phil Hartnoll and Mr Scruff.

Potter said: "I was getting tired of being sent the same old soulless music. I thought it was time someone took the lead and tried something different, at Rocstar we aim to bring a quirky and different style of music to the masses."
