Sonic Youth are to release a new compilation album, 'The Destroyed Room: B-sides and Rarities', featuring, er, B sides and rarities, on 11 Dec. Speaking to Billboard about the new long player, and recent studio album 'Rather Ripped', bassist Kim Gordon said it was likely they will move on from label Geffen after the release.
Gordon: "I don't really think they want us to stay. They fired a few key people working on ['Rather Ripped'] a week before it came out, [including] our A&R person - he worked on our last record with us, and that was the first time we had an A&R person in five years, but we liked him. Also a marketing person who had really good ideas. So, I don't know."
