New website for young music makers to launch

The Associated Board Of The Royal Schools of Music and Culture Online are launching SoundJunction, a website of music-making resources for teenagers, at an event on 18 October.

A new website is about to launch for teenagers interested in making music. Established by the Associated Board Of The Royal Schools of Music in association with Culture Online, the website, called SoundJunction, will provide a range of resources and tools for young people looking to capitalise on their passion for music.

The website's blurb explains: "Whether it's an interest in singing or playing, a fascination with how a song is constructed, a look at how an instrument is made or making your own music, SoundJunction provides an interactive opportunity to explore, discover and create".

The site, which will be launched at an event at LSO St Lukes in London next Tuesday (18 Oct), is supported by a number of music types, including Jamie Cullum, MOBO nominated jazz trumpeter Abram Wilson, producer C-Swing and Seb Rochford, drummer with Mercury nominated Polar Bear.
