NME announce first DVD covermount

NME will give away its first cover-mounted DVD next week, featuring NME Awards footage, interviews and a behind-the-scenes cover shoot.

The NME will have its first cover mounted DVD next week - an original product produced and edited by the mag's editorial team and providing footage and coverage of that NME Awards activity that took place last month - including the awards tours and London live shows. Among the content that will appear is a forty minute "road movie" from the UK wide awards tours, interviews with Pete Doherty and Primal Scream, plus behind the scenes coverage of an NME cover shoot that included Oasis, Kasabian, Jarvis Cocker, Arctic Monkeys, Girls Aloud and The Gossip.

Commenting on the DVD, IPC Ignite Senior Marketing Manager Nick New told CMU his view which is presented here for you: "This DVD has allowed us to integrate platforms and bring readers closer to the action than ever before. With fantastic co-operation from record labels, we're thrilled to be able to give NME readers the ultimate treat with the very best of the awards".

The DVD will be free with next week's NME, out on 17 Mar.
