Paolo Nutini has said that he nearly missed a party with the Queen because he turned up without photo ID. The 20 year old singer from Paisley was one of 300 guests deemed to have made a "significant contribution" to Scottish life that were invited to the event at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh recently. "They nearly didn't let me in" he said. "I didn't have my photo ID. I didn't know I needed it!"
However, he did make it in, and ended up being one of the first guests to get his minute with the Queen and Prince Phillip.
