On the off chance you're thinking of paying for a digital copy of Oasis' new album, and not just downloading a copy now that it's been leaked on P2P, take note that if you pre-order 'Dig Out Your Soul' on iTunes you will get a Liam Gallagher-written non-album track, 'I Believe In All', for free on the day of the album's release.
The song was recorded during the 'Dig Out Your Soul' sessions, but wasn't good enough to go on the finished product. Or, er, there was just too much great stuff on there already. Something like that. iTunes pre-orderers will also get a copy of 'Falling Down' straight away, ie before the album's release next month. Which is nice. If you haven't already downloaded it from Limewire.
The band have also announced that they will be releasing two download versions of the album. The full version will feature eleven tracks, and fans who buy it through www.oasisnet.com will also get a half hour documentary on the making of the album. There will also be a slimmed down, ten track version available for £5, which will not feature the song 'Get Off Your High Horse Lady'.
Confirming the cheaper version, Big Brother Recordings' General Manager Emma Greengrass said: "It's right that there's a 'no brainer' version of the album. It's aimed at people who are looking to test the water [with digital music] who are prepared to take a flyer at that price. It was Noel Gallagher's idea that you should pay less and get less rather than pay more and get more, which is what everyone else seems to be doing".
