Ocean Colour Scene hope to collaborate with Pete Doherty

Ocean Colour Scene hope to work with Pete Doherty after their upcoming tour, with Simon Fowler saying their manager is in talks with Doherty's representatives.

Well, we know you all like some Pete Doherty news, though this is music related and has nothing to do with drugs, supermodels or blackmail charges, so you might not be interested.

Mr

Doherty might be collaborating with Ocean Colour Scene. OCS, who have a new album out on Monday, hope to work with Doherty after their upcoming 22 date tour. The band's Simon Fowler told

CMU: "Despite Pete's very publicised drug addiction he is still one of the most talented artists of our generation and he writes the most amazing poetic songs. We had heard that

Pete was a fan of Ocean Colour Scene and at the time both **Steve

Craddock and I had been to see him and The Libertines** perform.

I think they were just one of the most talented and gifted bands that Britain has ever produced and it was a great shame that

The Libertines split up. Our manager has been speaking to his representatives and so hopefully we will be able to do something together in the Summer."
