Operator Please lose keyboardist Sarah Gardiner

Operator Please keyboardist Sarah Gardiner has left the band, with the split described as amicable, and the band are auditioning for a replacement before European dates.

Buzzy Australians Operator Please have announced the departure of band member Sarah Gardiner. The keyboardist's final work with the band was shooting the video for their next single 'Two For My Seconds'. She apparently posted a message announcing her departure on the band's Facebook page, but it's not there now. Luckily, for us, the NME saw it and report that she said: "The video features myself truly playing the piano on a busy street in Sydney, an oddly appropriate send off!" The band added that the split was amicable and was decided during her recent two month break from touring.

The band are now auditioning for a replacement ahead of their forthcoming European tour, which starts at the Camden Crawl this weekend and includes shows with Lightspeed Champion. Dates are too numerous to mention here, check their MySpace at http://www.myspace.com/operatorplease.
