Partners and headliners announced for uLive's next semester

NUS Services has announced partners for the uLive student gig network, including Red Stripe, Clash and sub.tv, plus an autumn tour from Dan Le Sac and Scroobius Pip.

NUS Services have announced its plans for the previously reported uLive network which launched in the student market last year. uLive brings together gig venues in various students' unions around the UK, and aims to provide the music industry with an easy way to reach student gig goers, rather than having to deal with numerous different unions.

Among the announcements are details of the network's partners this year, which include drinks brand Red Stripe, music mag Clash magazine, and union screen network sub.tv. Here's a quote from each of them.

Red Stripe's Paul Brazier: "We're really happy to be supporting uLive for the second year running and bringing live music to the next generation of Red Stripe drinkers. Red Stripe has a rich history steeped in music and has long been the beer of choice for creative and spirited individuals".

Clash Mag's Chloe Gehlcken: "Clash Magazine recognise uLive as the leading student focused tour in the UK. It is a great way for us to communicate with one of our key audiences and we look forward to an exciting series of gigs".

Sub.tv's Jon Kingdon: "We are pleased to offer our continued support to help raise the profile of the music scenes in and around the Universities. Focusing on locally relevant new music and venues is a key part in growing the Sub.tv music strategy in line with the launch of our new Sub.tv music site in September".

But more important than all that, we have line up news, and fab line up news at that. The first artists to be touring the uLive network will be CMU favourites Dan Le Sac and Scroobius Pip, who are still promoting their fab Sunday Best released album 'Angles'. Their uLive dates are as follows:
