Paul McCartney faces criticism in Australia over cancelled show

Paul McCartney is facing criticism in Australia after cancelling his Melbourne show, with fans arguing New York performances show communities benefit from music after attacks.

Paul McCartney is coming under fire for canceling his Australian show. He told fans his Aus date would be postponed because he didn't think it was suitable to perform so soon after the Bali bombing where most of those killed were young Australians. But fans point out how quickly McCartney performed in New York after the terrorist attacks there, and argue that events that bring communities together are, if anything, even more important after a country has suffered a serious terrorist attack. They point out Australia has not been listed with any cautions for travelers by any Government and that no other act has cancelled an Australian tour because of this attack. McCartney is yet to comment on the criticisms.
