More litigation, and Paul Simon is suing a musical clock distributor for using his song 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' on one of their clocks, allegedly without permission. His lawsuit, filed in New York, says the Georgia-based subsidiary of a Japanese clock maker, Rhythm USA Inc, knew or should have known they were violating his copyrights by using the song on some of their clocks. He reckons the company has old over 40,000 clocks featuring his song, and is suing for $10 million in damages. Which could buy a lot of clocks. Even musical ones.
