Pavarotti and Bono to front benefit for Iraqi refugees

Luciano Pavarotti and Bono will perform at a 27 May concert in Modena, Italy, raising funds for the UN Refugee Agency's work around Iraq.

Luciano Pavarotti and Bono have been confirmed to perform at a charity concert in Italy to raise funds for the United Nations Refugee Agency's work in and around Iraq. The concert is set for 27 May in Modena, Northern Italy. In a statement concert organisers said: "Proceeds from this event will go to UNHCR's work on behalf of people affected by the Iraq conflict. Even though very few Iraqis left their country during the first three weeks of the conflict, aid officials warn that it is too early to dismiss the danger of a refugee crisis."
