Peter Hook threatens to sue New Order bandmates

Peter Hook has threatened to sue Stephen Morris and Bernard Sumner, saying New Order has split up and that he still holds a third of the name.

This is fun. Peter Hook has threatened to sue his ex-bandmates - Stephen Morris and Bernard Sumner - following those previously reported comments they made claiming that the band hadn't split up, despite the fact the bassist had previously suggested they had on a number of occasions.

Following on from Morris and Sumner's statement, Hook has posted a message on his Myspace blog that reclaims: "This group has SPLIT UP! You are no more New Order than I am! You may have two thirds but don't assume you have the rights to do anything NEW ordery cos you don't, I've still got a third!"

Hook continues, noting that despite the split he is open "to negotiation", that the band haven't had a "personal relationship" for a long time, before ending the rant with the following poetry: "As traceyBB would say, "deal wiv it!" So as one third of ex New Order I'm off to gate 36 and Pizza Hut.....See you in court! love hookyx". Beautiful stuff.
