Phil Spector sued by singers over unpaid royalties

Members of The Crystals, Bobbie Soxx And The Blue Jeans and The Ronettes have sued Phil Spector, alleging unpaid six-monthly royalty payments, with the suit filed on 24 June.

As if Phil Spector doesn't have enough legal problems already, what with that upcoming retrial for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson, he's now being sued by a number of singers who, it is alleged, are owed royalties by the producer. Members of The Crystals, Bobbie Soxx And The Blue Jeans and The Ronettes (including Spector's ex-wife Ronnie Greenfield) claim that Spector has been failing to make their six-monthly payments. The suit was filed on 24 Jun. No news yet on when it will go to court.
