Philips enters digital player market with Micro Jukebox

Philips has launched the Micro Jukebox hdd070, a 95g MP3 player with a 2GB hard drive that plays both MP3 and Windows Media Audio files.

The digital music place has become even more competitive today with the launch of another new MP3 player - this time from Philips. Their 'Micro Jukebox hdd070' weighs 95g, has a 2BG hard drive, and can play both MP3 and Windows Media Audio files. That last point may prove important because it will give consumers more flexibility as to where they buy their digital music, unlike Sony's digital walkman and to a certain extent Apple's iPod, which are very skewed in favour of their own download platforms.
