Plan B on Westwood, and fucking the police

Plan B has defended his 'Fuck the police' lyric after Radio 1's Tim Westwood criticised him for performing it on the hip hop show.

Plan B isn't impressed with Radio 1's Tim Westwood dissing his 'Fuck the police' lyric. Westwood apparently criticised the UK rapper after he performed a track on the Radio 1 hip hop show that included the line "Fuck the police is a ghetto state of mind".

Commenting on Westwood's criticism, Plan B told the Scotsman: "In the context of that song, it doesn't mean 'Fuck the police', that's cool. We need the police. A lot of them abuse their power but we still need them. We need people putting the criminals away. [But] Tim Westwood completely misunderstood that and had a go at me. This is the guy who is meant to be the godfather of hip hop on Radio One. He's been supporting hip hop all this time and he can't distinguish whether or not I'm going on his show and saying it in the way NWA meant it or saying it in a conscious way."
