In our round up of Pop Idol gossip on Friday we said we were lacking any Will Young news. As if to rectify the problem Radio 1 have announced Mr Young will be a guest presenter on the station's agony aunt show Sunday Surgery later this month. He will guest on a special edition of the show which will be part of the BBC-wide Hitting Home season which looks at issues surrounding domestic violence. Not just a pretty face (or not even a pretty face depending how you look at it) Young did his university thesis on domestic violence and therefore appears on the show as something of an expert. Announcing the show Radio 1 said: "Will feels passionately about this important issue and is keen to lend a hand to help raise awareness. Emma, Mark and Will are taking calls and giving advice to anyone who has been a victim of violence or is worried about a friend who is in this situation."
