Prince launches his new club

Prince launched his 900-capacity club '3121' at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas, where he plans to play twice a week, with tickets priced at $125.

Prince launched his previously reported new club in Las Vegas the other night. The 900 capacity venue, named '3121', after his 2006 album of the same name, is housed at the city's Rio Hotel and has been decorated, perhaps not too surprisingly, all in purple. At the launch on Wednesday, the singer played a three song set and revealed his plans to play at the club twice a week, adding "I like Las Vegas". One of Prince's backing singers, Maya Mcclean, says "He wants to bring raw, live music back to Las Vegas. He wants a more positive vibe".

The club officially opens today, with tickets priced at $125.
