Quo not too happy with their classics album

Francis Rossi has told Undercover that Status Quo were pushed into making Rocking All Over The Riffs by their label, which will now release it in November.

Status Quo aren't doing a very good job in selling up coming album 'Rocking All Over The Riffs' which features new recordings of Quo classics and cover versions. Francis Rossi has told Aussie music website Undercover that the only reason they made it is because their record label made them!

"It is something we got talked into," he says. "If it means they'll let us make real albums then we have to do that, I suppose. We didn't want to do an album like that but we had to - it is hard being in that position where you have to do something but it keeps us alive".

The album was recorded at the same time as last album 'Heavy Traffic'. It was meant to be released at the same time as the new album - but for some reason the record label held back and will now release it in time for the Christmas market in November this year.
